Velika Paklenica for beginners: the canyon, Anića kuk and the walk to the mountain hut
The entrance to Paklenica National Park is 1.6 km from the house — easy to reach on foot or by bike. The first part of the canyon is wide and easy, along a stream between high walls.
After about twenty minutes Anića kuk appears, a wall climbers have been tackling for decades. In summer you'll see climbers from all over Europe.
For a full day, carry on to the mountain hut: bring water and sturdy shoes and start early, before the heat. In the evening — the sea across the road.
